Manchester United 0-0 Reading

Ten man Reading defied all the pundits and left Old Trafford with a point after some resilient defending and a man of the match performance from Marcus Hahnemann.

In truth it was one-way traffic in Uniteds favour, certainly for most of the second half. The home side laid seige to the Royals goal but found themselves wayward in shooting and up against a defence that put in a command performance.

Dave Kitson came on for Kevin Doyle on 73 minutes, only to be sent off after 74 minutes for a tackle on Patrice Evra.
