Reading 1-0 Everton
Reading stormed up into 6th place in the Premier League after an important win over this mornings leaders Everton. Stephen Hunt scored his first goal of the season just before the break to give the Royals all three points and a first ever win over the Blues.
It was Reading who started well as they did against Chelsea in midweek, looking more dangerous with each attack only to fall short in front of goal with Doyle and Long surpressed by the Everton defence.
Andy Johnson, once again the target for the boo boys in the home end, huffed and puffed but today it was not to be. Republic of Ireland midfielder Hunt latched on to a throw from De La Cruz, took a touch and fired past Tim Howard.
