Reading 1-2 Chelsea
Chelsea took all three points at the Madstad last night after coming from a goal behind to beat the Royals 2-1. Reading dominated the first 45 and were unlucky not to have been two or three goals up by the break.
It was substitute Andre Bikey who broke the deadlock just a minute after replacing the injured Michael Duberry. John Oster crashed a volley against the post, while Harps and Doyle also saw chances go begging.
Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba turned the game on its head in the second half with a goal apiece. Royals were then reduced to 10-men for the second game running as Kaliffa Cisse picked up two yellows. Despite a late flurry of chances, Reading were unable to grab an equaliser.
