Reading 2-1 Wigan

James Harper struck the winner in the dying moments of this game to give Reading a vital win after three successive defeats. Dave Kitson had given the Royals a first half lead after good work from Kevin Doyle allowed the Kitson to net a typical goal-poachers goal.

Wigan equalised early in the second half and at times looked more likely to snatch the win, until Kitson placed a perfect through ball to Harper to clinch all three points.
