Tottenham 2-2 Reading
Reading and Spurs threw up another four goals, this time in the FA Cup Third Round, following the ten in the league match last week. And they'll give it another go once more in the replay in ten days time.
With a much changed Royals side from the side that lost to Portsmouth on New Years Day, it was a couple of goalkeeping errors from England's number one Paul Robinson that ensured Reading's name in the fourth round hat on Monday. He failed to deal with Stephen Hunt's free-kick for the opening goal and was at fault again when he failed to hold onto Leroy Lita's shot for Hunt's equaliser.
In between both goals, man of the moment Berbatov netted twice to put Spurs 2-1 up and only some woeful finishing from the home side prevented another hatful of goals. But it was Reading who piled on the pressure in the last few minutes as they equalised with Hunt's second and could have snatched an unlikely winner as Spurs were reduced to ten men folllowing Tom Huddlestone's headbutt on Bobby Convey.
The replay has been provisionally arranged at Madejski Stadium on Tuesday 15th January, 8pm.
